The Elements of Art
We are learning all about the Elements of Art.
The elements of art are the basic components of art-marking. It is impossible to create a work of art without using at least one of the seven elements of art. In order to be successful in art creation, we must be able to intelligently use the elements of art. The elements are:
Line Shape Form Value Space Colour Texture
We will be exploring a range of drawing concepts and techniques and we will be using a range of media; graphite, charcoal, pen and ink, coloured pencils, oil pastels and chalk pastels. We will also be improving our observation skills.

Sharing our Work
For those of us who wish to share our art creations with the world we will place our work on this page. Scroll down to see some of our recent work.
Otherwise if you are a parent, we place some of our work on Edmodo.
Edmodo
Edmodo provides a safe and easy way for us to connect and collaborate with each other, share content with our peers and access resources used in class. It also provides a place to store our work to share with our parents at home. We all have our own page and our own passwords. Click on the edmodo icon to go to this website.

Cartooning Update
We have now created our very own cartoon characters and have completed a storyboard to help guide us with our animations. The photos below show us working hard using a programme called I Can Animate. We are trying to make our cartoon character move!

We have been very busy doing our inquiry learning on cartooning. We have been drawing lots and lots of cartoon characters. Watch the slideshow to see our favourite drawings so far. Our next step is to create our very own cartoon character and then try to animate it. Websites that have helped us with our cartoon drawings. Drawing Now Wordtoons Cartoon Expressions-Sad Pencil |
