Meet Our Board of Trustees
Tim Lawrey - Board of Trustees Chairperson
Tēnā koutou e te Whānau! It's all about our kids. Seems obvious – it is a School Board, however, after two years on the Board, and 18 months as the Chairperson, I have learnt that to be a successful Board we must ensure that every decision has our children at the heart. Apart from my Board responsibilities, I am a Sumner Dad with all three of my children now at Sumner school in years 0, 3 and 5. I work full time as a consultant delivering projects and in my spare time, I do my best to look like I know how to ride a mountain bike. |
Anna Granger - Principal Tena koutou katoa. Tenei te mihi atu ki a koutou. My name is Anna Granger and it is my absolute privilege to be the Principal of Sumner School. I am originally from the United Kingdom, but emigrated to New Zealand 6 years ago alongside my Cantabrian husband, Blair. As Principal I am dedicated to working alongside our BOT, tamariki, whānau and kaiako to ensure that Sumner School provides the very best opportunities and experiences for our students. |
Patrick Aldridge - Parent Representative Kia ora my name is Patrick Aldridge and I am a Parent Rep on Sumner School Board of Trustees. My wife, Morag, and I have lived in Sumner for 20 years and we have three children at Sumner School; Cameron, Gus and Josie. My professional experience is in Finance and Accountancy and I have worked in the private sector and in both central and local government. |
Charlotte Harris - Parent Representative
My name is Charlotte Harris and I am a Parent Rep for the Board of Trustees for Sumner School. My oldest daughter Theia is currently in Year 2 at Sumner School and my younger daughter Phoebe will be starting at the beginning of Term 1 next year. My husband Simon and I are both from the UK but have been living in Christchurch for 9 years now with Sumner being a very special place to raise our family. We enjoy a mix of activities and love to get outdoors to play as a family. |
Mette Kristiansen - Parent Representative
