Landscaping Conceptual Planning - November 2020
Kia ora e te whānau,
Below you will find a series of conceptual designs for the landscaping master plan of our school site.
Once our designs are finalised, the BOT is intending on splitting the design into 'sections' that will be completed over the next few years as we are not currently in a position to be able to fund the whole project. As part of the Ministry of Education School Improvement Package we have funding to complete 1 or 2 sections during 2021.
Once we have utilised this funding we will be looking to apply for grants, fundraise through the PTA and look to our wonderfully resourceful community for their help in achieving our plan. We believe that with the support from our community, through working bees and by using our communities vast skill sets, we will be able to bring this plan into fruition for our children and community much more quickly.
Please feel free to provide the Board with any feedback or thinking as you look through these plans. We would also welcome hearing from any members of our community who think there is an area of the plan where they feel they could help the school... Many hands really do make light work!
Please pass on feedback to the Board via email to Anna Granger principal@sumner.school.nz by Friday 27 November 2020.
If you would prefer to see printed versions of these plans they are currently on display in Waiora (our Wellbeing space). Please feel free to pop in to have a closer look.
